Sugar Webs
Today, at technicraft, the year 8’s and I had to do an experiment, that involved melting  different types of sugar.
Here is the procedure:

Equipment
🌴 1 tablespoon of Sugar (white sugar, brown sugar, raw sugar, caster sugar, coffee sugar, demerara sugar, coconut sugar, any sugar)
🌴Gauze mat
🌴Small Tripod
🌴Meths burner
🌴Tooth picks
🌴Damp cloth
🌴Matches/lighter
🌴Square Tin foil
🌴Flat surface

Method

  1. Place your tripod on a flat surface, then put your gauze mat on top of your tripod.
  2. Grab your tin foil and slightly tilt, the four corners of your tin foil, and then place it also on top of your gauze mat
  3. Pour 1 tablespoon of any type of sugar onto your tin foil
  4. Wipe (safely) your meths burner with a damp cloth.
  5. Light your meths burner with your lighter or match, and move it under your tripod
  6. Grab one tooth pick, and gradually mix your sugar with the side of your tooth pick, NOT with the pointy tip
  7. Wait, patiently until your sugar turns into a liquid

If you want to create Sugar spider webs here is how↓↓

  1. Grab, your tin foil, with your melted sugar, then place it on a flat surface
  2. Take another, toothpick and dip it into your liquid sugar
  3. Take out your toothpick,(Carefully and slowly),  with a string of sugar attached to it, BUT be accurately careful, sometimes your sugar spider web might snap

Be fast, because it might turn back to a solid object, like toffee. 😊😊
